[April, 2025] K-ASIC Hosts Tech & Toast: AI & ML Seminar in Silicon Valley

On April 16, 2025, the Korea AI & System IC Innovation Center (K-ASIC) hosted the inaugural Tech & Toast: AI & ML seminar at its Silicon Valley headquarters, bringing together over 90 participants including resident startups, global semiconductor leaders, and venture capital firms. The event served as a strategic platform to explore the convergence of AI and semiconductor technologies while strengthening Korea’s fabless ecosystem through cross-border collaboration.
Held at K-ASIC’s Event Hall, the seminar marked a key milestone in expanding the Center’s role as a hub for innovation, investment, and global engagement in the AI semiconductor space.
Keynote Session: Industry and Academia Shaping the AI Future
The main session featured a distinguished lineup of speakers from leading industry and academic institutions, offering diverse perspectives on the future of AI infrastructure and semiconductor innovation:
Dr. Henry Huang, Investment Director at Micron Ventures, outlined investment trends and long-term trajectories in the AI chip market
Arun Raman, Lead AI Solutions Architect at NVIDIA, explored the “Age of Reasoning” and the infrastructure requirements for scalable AI systems
Professor Jongse Park (KAIST, Visiting Scholar at Stanford University), introduced LLMServingSim, a co-simulation platform designed to optimize large language model (LLM) inference
Chandra Shekhar Dhir, AI/ML Director at JPMorgan Chase, shared insights on bridging enterprise AI innovation with entrepreneurial ecosystems
These sessions provided forward-looking insights into hardware-software co-design, AI system architecture, and the evolving investment landscape.
