On February 6, 2025 (KST), the Korea AI & System IC Innovation Center (K-ASIC) participated in the 2025 U.S.–China Semiconductor Industry and Market Seminar hosted by the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association (KSIA) in Seoul. The seminar convened leaders from finance, industry, and government to examine global semiconductor dynamics and Korea’s strategic positioning between the U.S. and China.

Keynote by K-ASIC: U.S. Semiconductor Industry Trends and Strategic Response

Austin Jin, Manager of Strategy & Planning at K-ASIC Austin, delivered the keynote presentation on the current state and future direction of the U.S. semiconductor industry, with a particular focus on policy trends, investment momentum, and the reshaping of global supply chains.

In his address, Jin emphasized the importance of tailored support strategies aligned with the needs of Korean fabless and system IC companies. These strategies aim to:

  • Strengthen enterprise-level R&D and production optimization

  • Enable proactive supply chain risk management

  • Overcome regulatory and policy barriers through international cooperation

  • Prepare Korean companies to navigate rapid U.S. policy shifts and global market realignment

K-ASIC will continue to actively engage in domestic and global forums to ensure Korean semiconductor firms are equipped with actionable insights, strategic foresight, and international support networks to lead in the AI and system IC era.
